Are mesh heads quiet?  The rubber heads on my kit do generate some noise.  I want to mic real cymbals and hi-hat so I need the quietest heads I can find for my drumit 5.  Any brands quieter than others?

1ply mesh heads are the quietest. Try remo silent stroke or 2box heads. There is no way that the hits will be heard in the overheads. On the other hand, they have a lot of rebound. 2ply heads, less rebound, more natural feel but a little bit louder.
