Using 3 zones cymbals input for 2 cymbals

Hi,

I'm not using too much the bow zone of 2 of my cymbals, so it's a kind of 'lost' input, such the toms' rims, which some of us use for additional cymbals. So, I was wondering if it's possible to use the 3zones cymbal input to use 2 different cymbals, one of them with 2 zones and choking, and the other one just 1 zone (no choking).

I tried using a split cable (2 female mono input to 1 male stereo) but the choking doesn't work.

Is there a way to make it work, even if it implies creating some DIY cables?
