Hello,

Sennheiser just released a free VSTi which includes Samples of a drum set. Haven't tested it but since the download is a 4.7GB file i guess it includes a lot of Samples. Unfortunately i couldn't find it on the English web page but here is the link to the german page:

http://de-de.sennheiser.com/service-support/drummica

On the left hand side you can click on "JETZT DOWNLOADEN>" which leads you to the download page. There you can find the downloads for Mac and Windows.

Would be nice to hear your opinion about the sounds.

Regards, Manfred

I downloaded it yesterday, but haven't taken the time to install it yet, maybe tomorrow though.
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)

i have just installed it.

it uses Kontakt as the sampler engine; it will install Kontakt Player if you don't have it or the full version of Kontakt installed already.

although it is free, you still need a serial number, which i presume you get once you have registered at the Sennheiser site. however, i have not been able to find an English version of the DrumMic'a! webpages.

before i make my way through in German, i have emailed Sennheiser to find out if there is an English version of the webpages...

I haven't installed or registered it yet. But it should not be too hard even though I don't speak German. All you would really need to do is open up one browser and do a translation .... in my case I just highlighted the text on each of the Registration pages, Right click and Translate.
Then open the website again on a dif browser or new page and now since you know what the questions are for each box.... just fill in the info and submit.

OK, so I did install DrumMicA. I went ahead and ran through a few dsnd conversions. I used SDSE and since it does not support it and the mapping regardless of which one I used didn't line up at least line up very deep for building dsnds .... I only built the Kick, Toms and Snare on a run so far. So yeah it is possible to build dsnds from this.

Even though the program can be downloaded for free from Sennheiser there is still a EULA that states:

No part of this publication may be copied, reproduced or otherwise transmitted or recorded, for any purpose, without prior written permission by Sennheiser Vertrieb und Service GmbH & Co. KG.

So we can't allow linking and exchanging dsnds here on a public forum. J

Hi Lustar, i cant seem to convert the drummica files using SDSE, reaper & D sound tool.i get some error, i use a 32bit operating system, do you think this could be the trouble.

Lustar

It should work with a 32-bit version Windows. The first thing to check is that you have Kontakt 5 and have installed Java RE (required for DSoundTool). I'm sending you a PM.

Krillo

I've downloaded drummica a few times and always get a corrupted zip-file :(

InTheBox

I downloaded it yesterday, and it was fine. The download was SLOW though. It also took some time reading all that german.. thank you mom and dad for forcing me to take german classes for 2 years. I knew it would come in handy someday (like 25 years later, but hey..)
