Would you be interested in a Mac version of SDSE? (only vote if you are a Mac user)

Yes, a Mac version is a must for me
I would but I already use the Windows version on my Mac or notebook
No, free solutions like Boot Camp or VirtualBox are enough, keep the focus on supporting VSTs

I have some issues with creating dsnd files from ezx. From some reason I can't convert cymbal samples. In rock solid there's no crashes, classic and metal machine are without ride cymbals. No problems with sd avatar, evil drums and bfd eco. The engine is superior , not ez drummer

Lustar

Thanks for reporting this!

SDSE 1.8.1 is now available.
This version fixes the cymbal issue described by logihack when exporting from some Superior Drummer and EZdrummer libraries.

To upgrade from 1.8:
- extract the new version in your current SDSE folder, overwrite all files (your configuration won't be overwritten)

Everything is working fine now. And again, great support    :-* ;D

Hi Edrummers,
I'm hoping someone can help me.
I received my 2box module recently and have almost finished my A2E conversion. My problem now is getting my Slate Platinum kits, cymbals and drums into the 2box. I have already upgraded the 2box to use 32 gig cards but I can not figure out how to convert Slate to 2Box.  I read the post about using Reaper and SDSE but when I run themi dont see Slate nor can I figure out out to include it in the VST list.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

Lustar

Hi Slinky,
Steven Slate Platinum is not yet supported by SDSE, you can see a list of all supported VSTs and their sound libraries in the first post of this topic.
For now you can export semi-manually using SDSE. Start SDSE, start Reaper, click on "Add" near the bottom/left of the Reaper Docker window, click on VSTi and add Steven Slate 4, load the "Superior" mapping in SSD4, open the Region Marker/Manager window in Reaper and check the toms you want to export, click "All" in SDSE or press F1. If you need more help please send me a PM or email.

Well it only exists as an idea so far but if it happens you'll be one of the first to know.
On the other hand, SDSE 1.9 is coming very soon :)

Same here ::) Seems once I finally got everything I about my kit the way I wanted it......there has not been any time to play whatsoever.  :'( I guess it will be there when things quiet down around here...and then I can get back into the groove.....but still kinda sucks. Sure does look nice though.  ;)

well i hope everyone understood that all i meant is that the only reason i havent started making dsnds is that it was summer, i was all day at the beach, and also i have no hdd space left in my pc lol. once i get paid (happy new month everyone), i will have to buy a new hdd (its crazy how i manage to fill all my hdds with crap), and finally will start to make all the dsnds i want from bfd2 and superior drummer. finally!!! cant wait
thank you lustar for the grreat effort you provide in making this awesome tool. i remember having to spend too much time to create the dsnds i created the hard way( around 50). now its time i make everything rom scratch , the professional way!!!! and in 1/20 of the time

lustar thank you once again!!!!

Thanks for the kind words Burnin' :)

SDSE 1.9 is now available.

This version adds support for Steven Slate Drums 4 Platinum, EX and Custom.

When batch converting your own WAV files to .dsnd without any VST (without Reaper and a VST) the DSND files are now named using any text present in the WAV filename instead of the instrument type.
Examples of valid WAV filenames and the resulting DSND filenames:
instrument type: "KICK1.wav"
-> "kick1.dsnd"
instrument type - instrument name: "SNARE1 - Instrument.wav" + "SNARE1 RIM - Instrument.wav"
-> "Instrument.dsnd"
instrument name - instrument type - comment: "Instrument - KICK1 - Comment.wav"
-> "Instrument Comment.dsnd"

To upgrade from 1.8 or 1.8.1:
- delete SDSE_shrink.ini, SDSE_SD.ini and SDSE_AD.ini from your current SDSE folder
- extract the new version in your current SDSE folder, overwrite all files (your configuration won't be overwritten)

Changelog since 1.8.1:

  • support for Steven Slate Drums 4 Platinum, EX and Custom - thanks to eyerichards and Jman
  • support for the new Rock! EZX
  • support for the Black Velvet and Vintage Dry adpaks for Addictive Drums
  • when converting .wav files to .dsnd without any VST loaded the .dsnd files are now named using any text present in the .wav filename
  • added more checks to the Reaper configuration
  • lowered minimum Superior Drummer 2 version to 2.1.0 (2.3.1 or greater is strongly recommended)
  • fixed Preset field (used to append a few letters to .dsnd/.dkit, when exporting kit variations)
  • improved DSND filenames for some SD2 packs (Music City SDX and Nashville EZX Black Beauty snares, Funkmaster Clyde and Jabo)
  • DKIT files are named using the toms make and model when a majority are from the same model (not only when all are the same model)
  • improved DKIT filenames for BFD2, BFD Eco, Drumasonic and the Pop! EZX

SDSE 1.9.1 is available.

It fixes an issue when building hats that was introduced in 1.9 and affected exporting from Superior Drummer 2.

Try again now, it should work.
Sometimes anti virus programs can (wrongly) block a download, maybe this is what happened.
If you use Firefox, you can try pressing shift when you click the Download button.

BURNIN AMBITION

yep i know that my antivirus wrongly blocks the download link. i disabled it in the previous version od sdse and it worked fine. and now, it works fine again!!! thank you so much!!!
