Hi guys,

I know that some of you have struggled to get hi hat files created in BFD2 and SD2 to load up into the Dsound tool with getting the dreaded "out of memory" issue. I've been having this problem too, even if the files are chopped into single wavs.

I thought I'd try 2Box's editor and I have to say if works flawlessly with large (and small) files, although you do need to have your wavs chopped up to individual files using something like Sound Forge's Auto Region tool. If you try to use a single file with many wavs you may get unpredictable results as I was getting.

I did find that once the DSND was created in the 2Box editor that I could then load it into the Dsound tool to quickly edit the individual levels of each zone if required.

I've successfully created hi hat DSND's at between 200Mb and 300Mb in size with between 30-60 layers in each zone.

They sound fantastic!

Cheers
