The holy grail is a third-party solution that converts absolutely any VST sample - BFD, SD, AD, SSD - into DSNDs. Even better if it were simple to operate.
I'm sure whoever cracks that will be able sell it easily on this forums (and I'd even help promote it through digitalDrummer).

unfortunately i think it is very very unlikely.

the main drum sample players out there use a range of different file formats and the way information is stored in them has evolved over the years. some use proprietary formats, notably Superior Drummer. and each package has a different way of dealing with close mics, room mics, bleed, articulations, etc.

it would be a massive reverse engineering task, and you'd need to have legal permission from each sample company to do it, since were are talking about a tool that will make it easier to illegally distribute sample content in an immediately useful form.
