It would be good to have the rims trigger evenly all round the rim instead of only triggering properly near the trigger.

Try a different (non-2box) pad!!

That's strange ... the main trigger is pretty unique in a 2Box cymbal ... it is a Ring piezo ... literally a piezo that encircles the center bell hole. So the trigger is actually as centrally located on a 2Box cymbal pad as is possible ... so you would think the edge triggering should be equal all around .. perhaps the serrated edge/switch is tweaked/bent a little ... you might try removing the cymbal rubber and blowing out the edge with a blower to be sure there is no debris, and check the condition of the edge?? Maybe I am wrong and the edge is naturally not the same all around, but the design seems to support 360 degrees triggering.
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)

J, he is probably speaking of 2Box mesh pads, not the cymbals.
