Hey guys I’ve searched but can’t seem to find my exact problem.
Does anyone have Jobeky drums?
Basically I’m having issues with the rims triggering whenever I hit the main drum.
Mainly on the snare and high Tom.
I’m sick of messing with settings.
There’s nothing more distracting than when you go to burst into a chorus to have your snare backed with an audible cross stick.
Can anyone tell me settings to try?
I feel like I’ve tried a lot.
Look forward to hearing some tips or being redirected and told to bigger off lol

DrumIt 5 Hardware / Help with used cymbal.
August 20, 2019, 01:00:11 PM
Just looking for some advice.
I’ve recently swapped out my drumit 5 module for the drumit 3 and have replaced my hihat and ride with the Roland equivalents.
The 2BOX cymbal I was using as a ride is quite beat up,
A lot of the rubber round the edge had split so I have used black insulation tape to keep it together.
It still works great, however my question is should I even bother trying to sell it on eBay or something?
Would it be worth anything? Or is it destined for emergency back up cymbal or the bin?

whilst i kinda have your attention.
i want to get some new drum samples, etc another hi-hat,snare,kick and some kind of stack.
wheres a good place for me to buy individual multilayer samples?
and finally, my drums are set up in a small room, no problem when my headphones are in but when i play with friends theres a lot of sound bouncing around the room and nothing sounds good(especially compared to other rooms ive played in with the same gear)
whats the best solution?
was thinking about one of those big sound absorbing curtains to hang behind me(or infront)
after looking through here i'm guessing the answer is no. was hoping or something like the atvadrums store.

That fixed it!
Thanks.
Had my 2box for a few years now but I’m still a noob lol

As you can imagine this is annoying.
Using standard 2box cymbal.
I read somewhere that using a splitter can cause issues but I figured as it’s nothing to do with my ride or bass drum then it’d be fine.
Just incase I’m using a splitter on the high tom and using the rim as a splash.
I’ve got crosstalk on high for both cymbals.
Ride works perfect when I’m not hitting the bass drum.

Been trying to keep an eye out on eBay and whilst I know there’s a hand full of stock left on a few sites I was hoping to get one used.

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Cymbal silencers
June 26, 2017, 06:30:35 AM
Hey guys, I thought I'd try asking here as you lot know everything.
In short I've upgraded my kit and replaced all the cymbals with jobeky real feel ones.
Whilst they are quiet compared to real cymbals they're still a smidge louder than the rubber alternative.
This didn't bother me until my friend came round to jam and I found I couldn't really use the ride of crash cause at the volume we were playing I could barely hear the sample over the ting ting of the stick hitting the metal.
I bought a random cymbal silencers set from Amazon but whilst it does the job they completely kill the sensitivity no matter what I do to the settings.
I notice stealth accompany they're kits with cymbals mutes so I was wondering how to get some that will work?

General chit-chat / Problems with my projector
February 15, 2017, 05:06:11 PM
I know a lot of you guys are pretty tech savvy and as this is an audio problem I thought maybe someone on here would know.
So basically my problem is a recently bought a projector and decided to connect it to my stereo via rca.
The projector is a acer p1185 and it has a 3w speaker built in.
When I use it with my amazon fire stick and connected to my stereo the volume is significantly quieter than the output the stereo normally gives.
My stereo is about 6 years old but it's a decent one with 235w.
Normally if I listen to a cd on full blast the room will shack.
I will add that using a rca to connect to my iPhone it doesn't quite go as loud but it's nowhere near as noticeable as when it's connected to the projector.
All the volumes are on full, I have looked at the sound options on the projector and in the fire stick.

DrumIt 5 Hardware / Re: Downgrading from the 2box

This is the exact reason I asked!
All round bad idea then lol
Thanks for the lengthy reply.
I don't really understand how to get more kits on the module.
I downloaded the free ones on from the 2box website and I'm happy with the drums it's just the cymbals (particularly the ride) I'm unhappy with.

DrumIt 5 Hardware / Downgrading from the 2box
February 06, 2017, 11:30:13 AM
Hey guys I've decided I want to start using superior drummer for my samples.
And whilst I'm aware I can use midi with the 2box module I was thinking about selling the module for a cheaper one (to get some pennies)
Does anyone have any recommendations?
What issues will I run in to?
I currently just use the module but my kit consists of Roland and jobeky pads and cymbals.

DrumIt 5 Hardware / Re: Smartrigger cymbals

One last thing, I just got a jobeky 3 zone ride and my initial thought was one ply just for the bell and I'd have the other set as cymbal edge.
That didn't work so I looked it up on here an eventually got it functioning well with just one cable lol
But I noticed when setting it up I tried to use a spare tom cable to get the cymbal edge but there wasn't a setting for a cymbal?
So my question is (as this is still spare) I want to get an electronic china cymbal but will I beable to use a tom port to do so?
All I could get was a bell sound using the tom connection!
I read about people splitting toms for additional cymbals but what settings do you use?

Bought a load of jokeby cymbals (real feel) and I'm looking for a similar china cymbal but finding one looks impossible.
The few I've found are really expensive or no one gets back to me.
Found a company called asl revolution who do a reasonably priced one but still awaiting a reply for shipping to U.K.
Anyone got any of their stuff as no reviews.

DrumIt 5 Hardware / Re: The mix in input won't work!

Thanks guys.
Was really hoping to get a jobeky real feel hihat but I guess the only way is to save.
I wish I had the knowledge to dismantle the 2box hihat and transfer the inner workings. Lol

Also I'm currently kinda building my own kit.
Sold off all my 2box pads and bought a mix of Roland and jobeky gear.
Only thing I haven't sorted is the hihat.
Are there any alternatives?
I'm aware of jmans gadget and the 42box but it literally doubles the price of any hihat I want to buy.
Are there any other e-cymbals specifically designed for 2box?
