My German's a bit rusty but I'm guessing in summary...he likes it, yeah? :)

Big friendly welcome to Lundin and Stickcharmer - well done for making it past the anti-spam measures :)

I can only really guess as it never happened on my dd4 but have you tried different midi cables? If you've got a friend with a laptop and audio interface (or whole other music PC) could you try with that? I take it you're re-loading original DD4 samples back on?

Looking good, thanks for doing the updrage.  8)

One minor point, on this and the old forum, the following image has never shown?  ???

Hey Cuban, thanks for debugging that, I knew something was wrong but didn't have the time to figure it out...Had to create a folder and copy over the default images into it, and hey presto!

Cheers

Here stopping by and saying hello (going back to the original subject...), I'm not new here, it's just that my former account was gone with the 400-spam-accounts-clean-up, no worries because being a daily reader of the forums I had very few posts, I hope this one serves for UC to know that I'm a human being who deserves to survive the next clean up :)

Next week my kit arrives, we'll see if it leads me to leave the silent mode, hehe.

Hey Juan, I'm really sorry about that - you know what, I saw your account and decided you were real and tried not to delete it. But when you've just clicked 400 check-boxes I guess it's easy to make mistakes.

Hope you enjoy your kit.

I'll have a go, and also tidy up some of these ads.
Cheers Putt :)

Hey excellent 2box people, and lurkers :)

Hope you like the new look for the forum - still true to its orange roots, but hopefully a bit easier on the eye :)

Some new measures will hopefully further cut down on the level of spam registrations and general crapola, but as ever, please do keep using the "report" button on any posts that shouldn't be here, thanks!

Hey, yes indeed! Felt it was sorely in need of a bit of a spruce :)

Sorry for the downtime, hope y'all enjoy!

By the way, I manually deleted 400+ sleeping spam accounts while I was at it.

I'm *really* sorry if I accidentally deleted a real person :)

cheers,

Hey ddrum4se, yeah I did see that and I implemented it - thanks, it's been really helpful - but I still have to vet the registrations (and wade through the emails the server sends me everytime!).

Maybe the orange colouring attracts the cretins in greater numbers :)

Are you human? Are you a drummer? Have you had your registration for the forum rejected?
If so, I'm sorry.  :'(

I'm trying to work out the real ones...But we're getting constantly bombarded with hundreds of fake spammer registrations, and I'm automating a lot of the banlist operations now.

So if your registration didn't work out send me an email:

human_bean  {at}  2box -forum {dot} com

Tell me your username, and your favourite drummer, and I'll let you in.

Once again, apologies, this seems ridiculous, but there's not a lot else I can do about it.
cheers

You may have noticed we've had a fair bit of spam recently (I've deleted literally hundreds of accounts).

It also looks like someone managed to upload a page of spamlinks that used the stylesheet from the forum but not its database, and also do some bogus poop to a mod redirect file on the server. Sneaky bastards.

This is what sparked the Google warning.

So I've battoned down the hatches, shawed up the defences, and changed all the locks.

I'm pretty sure the database wasn't hacked, as I've been through it with a magnifying glass (that was really fun).

Rest assured your passwords are all encrypted using SHA1 salted hashes so anyone who did manage to get hold of them somehow would need some kind of supercomputer to decrypt them, and that would take a looooooong time.

Nonetheless, I would strongly advise people to reset their passwords to something nice and strong, and not associated with any other online identities to be on the safe side.
