Here's a big shout out to the electro-precussive geniuses at 2box, and a special thanks to JMan for all his expert input, and guidance with the forum...it wouldn't be the same place without you!

Louis and Lustar both deserve a glass of something strong and delicious raised in their honour, their respective DSound and SDSE tools are brilliant.

To all the regular posters (you know who you are) and all the lurkers who are shy (but very welcome) I salute you all too!

I'm afraid it's entirely possible that some accounts disappeared, unfortunately the "backup solution" provided by the previous webhost was somewhat lacking. The forum is now backed up to 3 different physical locations twice a day!

the bottom line is never buy anything big ticket from an eBay seller with zero or very little feedback, unless you can pay on pickup...

You should think carefully about who, when and where you would meet if you're travelling with a bag of cash to buy stuff too - you wouldn't want to be down a dark alleyway when you find out that instead of e-drums, the guy's got a baseball bat...or worse!

I think everyone's too busy drumming or having summer holidays

Give Wembley Drum arena a call as they've got a few rooms dedicated to edrums (good chance to see how much bang for you're buck you're getting when you compare it against a £5k roland kit!).

I'm not affiliated with these guys btw, but it's a great drum shop. Bit of a hike from the tube station, but they'll point you in the right direction.

I'm satisfied that the board is nice and solid now though - if July's posts ever come back I will try to integrate them back in, or host them on a subdomain or something.

The moral of the story is don't place all your trust in anyone else's backup plans, but on the plus side I've learnt a fair amount of interesting things you can do with Cron jobs!

So with no further delay I'd like to invite you all back in to the playground
