It’s a piezo trigger so it should work. I wonder how it would handle 2 zone functionality though. And certainly no choke functionality.

But I am intrigued.

Setup guides and tips / Re: SSD 4 Platinum MIDI MAP
January 08, 2018, 08:36:09 PM
Sorry to dredge up this old thread but I have recently picked up SSD 4 Platinum and am having some issues with the midi mapping using Jman’s map file. I can work out moving most thing around to suit my kit layout but I cannot get the HH controller to work at all. I only get close HH on the bow and fully open on the edge. No other sounds play.

Seem like the program is not recognizing the CC control notes. Anyone had this problem and solved it?

Thanks.

Just loaded up the sounds and tried them out. They sound amazing!

Thanks so much for making this available. A huge bargain at â,¬6.

I ultimately had to remove the rim trigger from the Intrigg and attach it directly to my snare to clear up all crosstalk issues. This made it much easier to dial in the snare.

I also had to remove my rim protector so I could turn down the gain on the rim sensor.

I bought a cheap Berhinger mixer to avoid using the awful headphone out on the module and added a little in-module EQ to improve the overall sound.

The results are much better. That being said, I still find the That Sounds samples have made the move from PC to 2box with the least loss of fidelity. I find myself play my kits based on their samples most often.

Thanks for the explanation. I would be happy to help test the beta version. I have been beta testing a major release at work for weeks now so I am in that mode. :)

Hi Lustar,

I love SDSE. It'd one of the best time savings apps I have come across.

I have one suggestion that would be a huge help in my workflow. I often find myself exporting the same instrument for different kits (most often the snare). But for each kit the sound I am going for can be very different. The net result is that I will end up with a bunch of snares named something like 14x5 Brass_218. This can be pretty hard to keep track of as the numbering system is kind of abstract.

My thought is that I would like to be able to name a kit at export and have all the generated dsnds sent to a directory of the same name. I find myself doing this by hand after each export to keep things organized in a way that is easy to remember and to find on the module if needed.

Thanks.

You should not need the deluxe package unless you want all the DAW presents. I bought the Nir Z Clean package and it came with the Dry, Big, Natural, Overheads, Room 1 and Room 2 sample sets. An amazing deal for $35!

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

Very interesting. Does the mid boost, high/low suppression happen when samples are converted to dsnd or does it happen in the module itself? If it's the latter, I would think I could line in my laptop to the module, tweak the EQ in software and export to get the desired result.

If not, then it's Lustark to the rescue. I will just have to use the dkit manager to set the EQ levels for each imported kit.

I loaded the samples in the 2box software directly. But they are a little flat out of the gate. I do need to go back and EQ them a little and reload.

Thanks Jerry.

Do any of the majors offer snare off share drum options? It's a style a play a lot on my acoustic kit and am looking to get 1-2 good kits on the 2box like that.

You are correct. Deluxe and Standard are the same except that Deluxe has all the DAW presents. I personally bought the clean set only as it was the sound I was looking for.

I recently picked up the Nir Z Icons set from That Sound and I love them The cymbals a pretty limited but the kits are amazing.
