What kind of internal triggers were you using?

Anybody know the thread size for the bolts module mount plate on the rear of the module(2 bolts)? Just bought a used one and realized the seller didn't enclose them. If not I will take the module up to Home Depot and trial and error for a solution

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / 2 box vs Mimic sounds?
« on: October 05, 2017, 11:51:50 PM »
Been a 2 box owner for a few years and love the sounds compared to any other module I have owned or played. Just asking, sound wise only, not features. Any former or current 2 box owners and current  mimic owners here? How do just the sounds compare? I am pretty confident that the Mimic is more  advanced  feature wise, yes?

They worked great for me under my rack , hi hat and single pole under my snare, too. Very effective in helping out with vibration. I live in a second floor condo and have an old prune face downstairs from me. I also had a drum platform under the noise eaters as well

I have a Tama Speed Cobra hi hat (very similar to Iron Cobra) paired with a J man (stealth drums) hi hat converter with my 2 box and it fits and works perfectly  with that HH stand

And those if us who own or owned drummit 5's, thinking the drummit 6 was soon to arrive. How disillusioned we were. Many  the 3 coming out first, and the TD 50, Strike and Pearl mimic, 2 box can steal the best technologies from the 3 and come out with a real show stopper!  E drums tech running rapid now!!

I bought pintech strike pads and adjusted my setting and they triggered fine and were much quieter

You sure your cables are in on both ends? If not sounds like a solder job is in order

That reminds me of when I ordered  my first 2 box 5 module from guitar center . From the salespeople to all the managers, none of them knew that they were a 2 box dealer, that hoshono was the distributor, nothing except me. They were good kids, but the problem I blame on ownership and top management. When a product is being introduced and needs a big send off to let the world know what it is, there should be extensive marketing and trading to lock it off. I still think that Roland had some monopoly on guitar center that definitely halted a lot of what I just mentioned

This Guy Jman , you all refer to. Who is this guy, lol! All kidding aside if I wasn't for our man  , the Jman, I never would have experienced 2 box , much less 2 box, with vst's, great cymbals , and tons of free advice ? Keep the good work J. Thanks again for all your help and products from Stealth drums. All my stuff that I bought from you, always worked with no glitches whatsoever!

Bisonnette is regarded by many as a talented drummer, but again, I don't question his ability in any way, as a matter of fact , he is a funny dude besides being a great drummer.   I just didn't care for the sound of the TD 50. I have heard it on many vids and just am not  feeling it. Still want to play and o hear it and tweak it in person.

I looked at them and the Freedrumz but I will get a climate control storage unit and another kit. I miss my kit
