Thanks welshsteve. That saves me $$ I don't have to spend (hopefully used towards a new 2Box future module???).
I usually don't change the default max tune in SDSE unless absolutely necessary.

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / To upgrade or not????
March 21, 2023, 06:46:03 PM
Is it really necessary to upgrade from a MKI to MKII? Is the triggering THAT much better to justify purchasing a new module? My current triggering is OK (side mounted internal "WRONKA" triggers) but when I watch videos of the comparable market module offerings, I see my limitations.
I've always had a bit of a problem with the processing in the module (the sound of converted dsnds sound a bit thinner and compressed compared to the original waves but I understand that has not been updated). I'm not sure if I should wait until NAMM to see if there is anything new.
I value your opinions.
Many thanks.

Just change the .dsnd file extension to .wav

Lustar, is the new SSD5.5 compatible with SDSE?
Thanks! Tony G

I'm using an original Drumit 5 with a 13" Roland Power Ply head.
If it doesn't drastically improve on the tracking, then I won't do it, but I was hoping to get a definitive opinion.
Thanks.

I assume that using 3 triggers on a snare drum would be more consistent in triggering,
but will it also make the drum to be more sensitive to ghost notes?
Does anyone have an opinion/experience with the concept?
I see some companies offering this as an alternative but is it really worth exploring?
Just a thought.

Can anyone update the community as to (or if) we have a presence there?

From the DrumIt3 page on the 2box website:
"Another 50 KITs were custom-programmed to match various songs/artist. These KITs are created by 2box and reflect our taste and ideas. Feel free to edit them to fit your own style. These KITs contain typical sounds/loops/effects that you would associate with particular songs. This might be a finger snap on the rim of Tom 3, an 808 handclap on Tom 4 or a set of timbales on Tom 3 and 4 â€" but of course always play the full drum set and enjoy these KITs in total. The name of the KIT gives you an idea which song/artist we had in mind when creating the preset. There is also a Spotify Playlist link â€" these songs and artists where the inspiration when creating these Kits. Play these KITs to the songs in question and have fun!"

Are we dedicated 5 series owners going to have access to these 50 KITS?

Yes, I've tried calling but their phone is forever busy. I sent them a message by Facebook, which they saw earlier today, but still no contact.

Hi guys, I need some advice regarding an order I placed for a Roland 13" Powerply head from Andertons Music  a week and a half ago. I am located in NY, USA and have not gotten anywhere by email. They have already charged my Paypal account (to which I have filed a complaint) and incorrectly listed my address as being in the UK which I also tried to correct, and never sent me an order verification. They do not reply to my emails and I am becoming extremely frustrated.
Has anyone had any dealings with these guys?
Many thanks!

Had a similar problem. My solution was to use a Remo Muffles tray and foam. Solved the problem.

I use Wronka side mounted triggers and they work exceptionally well but unfortunately I think he is no longer in business. A real shame.
