Our friend Jman thought originally  that 2 box would have continued to grow because of its influence from the innovator Ddrum and its early multi layer sampling cap abilities. He worked on vst's with 2 box adnauseum . Finally when Mimic came out he jumped ship to it. I think he thought , as we all did , that Pearl's promise to give it the capability with multi layer sampling would have happened much quicker. Wish he lived long enough to see it. He would be having a ball working with the Mimic and VST's now. Not to mention , I would have gone Mimic now too with his technology help! R.IP. Jerry

 Anybody using Pintech LTE Cymbals with your 2 box module? If so, how are they?
My son is putting together an e kit with a PDP Concept Maple kit  and he asked me about these. I have no idea. Looked for vid's, no vids!

Hi guys, I have used all 4 tom inputs, and would like to add one more. Without hooking a other 2 Box Drumut 5 up , which I have, what might be another alternative.  I have mist of my kits set up for a 10, 12 , 14, 16 but I have an 8 tom not being used. Roland TM1 or TM6, or something else?

They move like snails! We all know they don't have anywhere near the money that Roland does, but I always thought that at some point they would iron out some of these things and  really dreaming.  I thought maybe they would improve their current 2Box Drumit 5 MK2 or introduce even a new flagship!  Dreams are nice and then we wake up, lol! Now I am waiting to see if Ddrum gets back in big because they had a big headstart, way before 2 Box, and that would be cool  and probably more likely!   All that said, I still think for the money that 2 box is still the best contender right now,although Efnote and Yammie are looking good too!

I guess only Pearl can answer whether it was leaked by mistake or just a little tease . Either way, again, we are not privy to that information. When the Update is here, it is here! No sense in over analyzing this as it won't accomplish anything. I look forward to it, and I, myself,  would probably jump ship from 2 Box to Mimic. This Ddrum module , way out  on the horizon,  sounds interesting too! Because my current 2 box modules work great, I can wait for sure!

So true Steve. From a corporate  point of view, it must be difficult ! They are seeing the bigger picture all the time, and know the "real deal" in reference to updates and new products. They have to leak enough to peak interest, but we, the public, are very impatient, and unforgiving, when it comes  to release dates, amd wanting info on news we are not privy to. I guess when we are sitting in our living room, criticizing  big companies like Pearl, Roland, etc, maybe we should be less critical. After all, I , myself, dont own a multi million dollar company , just a couple of sets of drums. Lol!

Anybody using Goedrum 3 zone cymbals, cymbal triggers, or hats with 2 Box Mk11?

So I ended up getting 2 used   Buttkickers with the amp, cables,  mounting plate and  a floor mount fully tested and   functional for 175 US. Lucked out!
