General 2Box Drumit 3 Forum / More calibration advice
October 18, 2019, 11:18:23 AM
Hi
I just can’t get this sorted and was hoping someone might be able to help. I’m trying to dial in both a Roland vh13 hi hat and a Roland triple zone ride. I have followed the manual and zouhrmanns video s but still can’t seem to get it right. I have dialled in the 3 zone ride so that the bell and how are balanced ‘H” on the bell setting.  It unfortunately the edge sound seems too loud. I can’t seem to find a way to adjust the volume of the edge. Secondly calibrating the vh13 is proving difficult. I can’t get it quite right re the hi hat opening in a natural position. Secondly sometimes when I strike the hi hat and open it (pea soup) the opening of the hi hat is very quiet. An dead sounding. Does anyone know what he raw setting actually does and if that can help. I have messed around with it but without knowing what it actually does it’s kind of like stabbing in the dark. I have a Roland td30 module and the pads work fire with them without any adjustments so it’s obviously down to user error setting up the drumit 3

General 2Box Drumit 3 Forum / Am I doing this right

Please be gentle. I’m actually a guitarist who has taken a real interest in drums to the extent that I e bought a td30kv kit and have replaced the module with a drumit 3. I have little experience with drums and hkVe never played a acoustic kit. My problem is that I set up the triggers to the recommended type as shown in the manual yet i seem to be regularly hitting maximum velocity with medium playing  even with the trigger gains set at zero. Am I doing something g wrong or am I simply playing way too hard. I come from a hard rock background. And the kit is for recording. I must say it’s great fun and wish I had discovered this years ago. Much more fun than guitar and way more gig opportunities lol. Anyway any pointers would be much appreciated.

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Using with a Roland module
November 09, 2018, 08:54:06 PM
Hi
I have a Roland TD50 and recently bought the Drumit 5. Ive succeeded in using it with my DAW and now wish to use it alongside my TD50, triggering the Drumit 5 from the TD50 module via midi(because I have the digital snare and ride). I thought it would be just a matter of connecting the midi out of the TD50 to the midi in of the Drumit 5, but no such luck. Anyone doing anything similar that can give me some pointers?
Cheers

Thanks that's a relief. Seems like another good reason to go for the usb extender/upgrade path.

Hi
Im new so please be gentle.
So I connected my Drumit 5 to my iMac in usb mode to backup and then add the new os. It took almost an hour to backup. This seems very slow. Is this normal?
Cheers
