Title: Access to the SDHC module
Post by: snydley on March 18, 2011, 01:52:36 PM
One nice feature would be access to the memory module so we can use as large a module as we like and add as many sounds as we'd like to our brain. Something like this:

This way no one has to open up their brain to install a larger module. I have more sounds I want to add to my brain, but don't want to delete any of the original sounds, and am a little hesitant in opening up my brain myself to swap out the module, even though I'm sure I could do it.
Also, once developed, it would be nice if there was a module "kit", that all of us with the earlier versions of the brains, could buy so we could retrofit our brains ourselves with the same parts, OR some kind of "trade in" program where we could send our old brains back, along with some money, and get a working, programmed brain with the external socket already installed.

That's got my vote! And USB 3.0 while they're at it.

I agree with the external memory card. When we have that, the USB version does not matter so much.

Plus:
- a more powerful processor to support effects like equalizer, ambience etc.
- real 3-zone cymbals + including support in the module
- more sensitive/direct responding hihat with regard to opening/closing (perhaps change from magnet to something better?)
