Title: Rubber Hoop rings
Post by: Dashriprock on March 12, 2018, 02:18:23 AM
I am now setting up 2box external triggers with mesh heads on my acoustic kit, I need to install rubber hoops to stop the noise. What is the best way to install  the triggers under the rubber  hoops on the steel or on the rubber hoops.Or should i cut a piece of the rubber hoop out and install it right in the steel rim.

I’d say cut s small gap in the hoop. Reason being is that the rim sensor (if you intend to use it as two zone) will have much better triggering if directly touching the metal hoop as from a rubber connection all of the vibration will not be detectable.
