Title: Again about using Roland equipment with the MKII
Post by: 3daypriest on November 22, 2011, 01:00:21 AM
So the Roland brackets will fit on the MKII.  Great.  Now, will the Roland drum pads, specifically the PD-80R work fully with the MKII.  Same question with the CY-8 cymbals.  All help greatly appreciated.

hi

I use a PD-85 , that looks the same than yours exept it is black... it works very well with the DRUMIT5 ...  maybe the difference  will be that the rim isnt as isolated as the  2box pad is ... rising the crosstalk and tweaking the GAIN settings could help

.... if you are a RIM addict , i can tell you that removing the rubber rim silencer helps a lot to have a better HEAD/RIM separation ... as the signal fromthe rimwill be stronger ... but also noisyer ...

@edtc   Thanks much.  Didn't want to buy something that didn't work.  As it states beside my name, I'm a newbie.  Not just to this forum, but to drumming period.
